Mr. Gracioppo graduated from Concordia University in 1977 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree and received his Chartered Accountant designation in 1980.
In 1977, he was recruited by the Auditor General of Alberta and moved to Edmonton where he was involved in Crown Corporation and Provincial department audits.
Mr. Gracioppo was later in the employ of two other public accounting firms where he devoted his time to planning, budgeting, and scheduling of client engagements. He returned to Montreal in 1981 and became an audit manager with Zittrer, Siblin, Stein, Levine Chartered Accountants. While servicing small to medium-sized enterprises, he was responsible for the cost-effective staffing of the audit group. Mr. Gracioppo’s major clients were in the clothing, manufacturing, import-export and meat-processing industries.
He obtained his Chartered Business Valuators designation in 1990. Mr. Gracioppo has also lectured on various topics such as “Starting Your Own Business” and “Personal and Corporate Taxation” at various institutions. Santo enjoys golf in his leisure time.
